Every child deserves the chance to grow, dream, and thrive—but not every child has the guidance, support, or resources needed to get there. That’s where Life Path Advocates come in. At Entrusted Legacy (ETL), we believe that anyone can make a meaningful difference in the life of a child—whether by working directly with youth or by giving time, resources, or financial support.
A Life Path Advocate is someone who chooses to be part of a young person’s journey. They open doors by creating access to opportunities. They share wisdom through mentoring and modeling positive behavior. They support dreams by investing in programs and people who help youth discover their strengths and imagine new possibilities for their future. And the best part? There isn’t just one way to advocate—you can choose the path that works best for you.
Ways to Be a Life Path Advocate
1. Volunteer Your Time
Time is one of the most precious gifts you can offer. Whether it’s mentoring a student, supporting an enrichment club, helping with homework, or simply listening, your presence matters. Youth remember the adults who consistently showed up for them. ETL welcomes volunteers who want to contribute directly to our programs or serve as positive role models.
2. Donate Financially
Your donation goes directly to supporting youth and the adults who work with them. It may fund supplies for afterschool programs, sponsor a child to attend a summer camp, or provide scholarships for training frontline workers. Every dollar is a gift of love—and no amount is too small. You may not see the change immediately, but the seeds you plant today grow into strong, capable young adults tomorrow.
3. Support Professional Development
ETL believes that well-trained, supported adults create high-impact experiences for youth. You can support this belief by sponsoring training opportunities for Site Coordinators, Team Leaders, or Program Workers. These staff members are on the front lines every day, and your contribution helps equip them with the tools they need to mentor, motivate, and manage effectively.
4. Share Your Skills and Expertise
Everyone has something to offer. If you're an artist, a coach, a writer, an engineer—whatever your gift—consider sharing it. Offer a workshop, speak at an event, or join a planning committee. Young people benefit greatly from real-world insights and inspiration, and your experience could spark a lifelong passion.
5. Spread the Word
Being a Life Path Advocate also means raising awareness. Share ETL’s mission with your network. Invite others to get involved. Host a fundraiser or simply forward a message. The more people who know about the work being done, the greater the collective impact we can make.
Every Contribution Matters
At ETL, we don’t believe in labels or limits—we believe in possibility. We see every youth as an asset to be developed, not a problem to be solved. When you become a Life Path Advocate, you align with that vision. You help a child feel seen, valued, and capable of reaching their full potential.
No act is too small. Whether you give your time, your money, or your voice—you help shape a life, and in doing so, you help shape the future. Will you stand up today as a Life Path Advocate?
